Mary Kaldor is professor and director of the Centre for the Study of Global Governance at the London School of Economics and Political Science and author of New and Old Wars: Organized Violence in a Global Era (Stanford).. She was a founding member of European Nuclear Disarmament (END) and co-chair of the Helsinki Citizens Assembly.
