  • This is an informative article that clarifies the positions of various factions in Iraq. While showing respect for Iraqi nationalism, Iran and Saudi Arabia need to be involved in the process of reconciliation. The various contacts between Saudi Arabia and Iran are useful, and they should work together to insure peace in the Middle East by bridging the Shia/Sunni divide.

Iraq is mostly an Arab state, and, in general, Islam is a tolerant religion. These elements need to be emphasized to bridge any national differences.

Mr. Dreyfuss is right when he says the US needs to get out of the way so Iraqis can settle their differences.
